Since our launch in 2019, we’ve been delivering impactful recruitment solutions in the Transportation sector but also across a range of industries, from Central Government and Technology to Energy and Professional Services.
Our Founder and MD, Karen Camilleri has over two decades of experience in executive recruitment and she understands that successful hiring isn’t just about ticking boxes — it’s about finding the right people to drive real change. Our expertise spans interim, fixed-term, and permanent senior-level appointments, with a proven track record of placing leaders who bring fresh perspectives and tangible results.

Owner & MD
karen@camilleri-appointments.co.ukKaren has over two decades of experience in the recruitment industry, specialising in senior appointments, on both an interim and permanent basis. She has operated across a range of sectors including public sector majoring in Central Government and within the private sector, majoring in Transport.
Her career history includes 13+ years within the Capita Group (Capita Resourcing and Veredus, both part of the Capita plc Group) where she specialised in interim leadership appointments and set-up Veredus’ leading Transport practise, four years at Penna, where she again set up their Transport practise, before developing a Transformation and Change Practice at Green Park.
Karen is currently the Owner and Managing Director of Camilleri Appointments Ltd, a specialist boutique recruitment business delivering executive level search and interim mandates which she set up in 2019.
Karen is a member of REC, the professional body for UK recruitment businesses.

Candidate Care Associate
lara@camilleri-appointments.co.ukLara has almost 15 years of experience in the recruitment industry, specialising in senior administrative oil and gas appointments and creating a niche as the go-to expert for corporate executive assistant recruitment. Her search experience spans across multiple sectors, functions, and geographies. In 2013 Lara was responsible for leading a team of 13 people across 7 locations nationally (Canada).
In 2015, Lara accepted a Lead, Major Accounts role with the boutique firm she had been with for 9 years and proved her ability to advance relationships with strategic clients at a national level. She offers a strong track record in nurturing excellent candidate and client relationships with deep rooted emphasis on aligning values and integrity and building purposeful long-standing relationships.
Her role as Candidate Care Associate for Camilleri Appointments is invaluable to this process and means that candidates can experience high touch support at every stage of their journey.
