Supporting Women in Transport

At Camilleri Appointments, we are passionate about the need for more diversity in the transport sector. After all, a sector without diversity doesn’t innovate. Over the years, we have proudly worked alongside Women in Transport, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering women in the industry and helping them reach their full potential.

Women and girls make up 51% of the UK population, yet women remain underrepresented in the transport sector, accounting for only 26% of workers. Women in Transport champions the belief that a diverse workforce leads to a stronger, more innovative industry that drives UK growth. We couldn’t agree more, and that’s why we are passionate about advocating for more women to join and thrive in the transport sector.

Our Managing Director, Karen, has long been involved in supporting this cause. Having benefited from the guidance of strong leaders throughout her own career, she has taken on the role of mentor multiple times for Women in Transport. And, as a proud sponsor of the organisation, she continues to invest in this vital initiative.

As a company, we believe that diversity is not just a moral imperative but a business necessity.
